PEOPLE BELIEVE THAT HOTELS ARE BETTER BOARDING HOUSES AND MOTELS

People believe that hotels are better boarding houses and motels. However, there are some secrets that the receptionists will never disclose to you.
When traveling, many people often default that hotel with “star quality” will bring them the absolute safety. However, BBC’s specialist travel websites put the question, they received many brave and honest answers from experienced hotel managers.

Be careful with small hole on the door.
Every room in hotel has its small hole on the door. This tool helps customers are safe in the room when bell rings, and they have right to open door for someone or not.
“Check this hole, if you see it’s mat or you doubt that someone had an impact on it, change room immediately”. Michael Forrest Jones, the executive director of Beechmont Hotels in Winston-Salem, the US said.
Michael said when the hole on the door becomes mat or has sign of being pierced. It’s likely that a camera was tucked to peep at things inside the room.  If you can not change the room, you should stick paper on the hole. When someone knocks at the door, but you can’t see their face clearly. You’d better call receptionist instead of opening door, especially at the late night.

Don’t use the coffee maker
Ken Lim, a former hotel manager in Chicago, the USA said: Coffee makers may look clean, but who knows how previous guests used them? They could vomit on it, throw away cigarette or shove crayons. You’d better not drink coffee from coffee maker.
Cooper Woods, a travel addict said people shouldn’t use any glass, because they could be cleaned by the dirtiest way by using towel to wipe…

Safe place to put clothes is restroom
Hotels often use wood and fleas also love this material. Therefore, wood wardrobe was not the safest place for your luggage. If the toilet is clean, dry enough, you should put furniture in it.
However, if the shelves is mental, you can also leave up there because lice can not survive in this place.

TV remote is as dirty as toilets
William Payne, a retired person, he spends most of his time traveling, said that the dirtiest things in the room is television remote because "a lot of people use them, but rarely clean it".
According toa research in 2012 from the University of Houston, television remote control is so dirty as the toilet.

However, feel comfortable in the trip. You go to the hotel to relax and rest. So, just be careful a little bit, you can fully enjoy the sunshine and funny holiday with family members and friends without thinking about being followed or killed.
